Meet the Team (Fall 50)

If you’re planning on making the trip to Door County for the race, there’s a place for you on Team RunningHungry!  The relay team is full, but if you’re interested in coming out to Door County and cheering on the team, let Ben know.

Benjamin Isaacson

Solo Runner

Ben has nearly five years of marathon experience, but he’s never run more than 50K before.  He is currently in the middle of his most intense training plan to prepare him to run 50 miles on his own at the Fall 50 on October 23.

Jenelle Isaacson

Chief Support Person

Jenelle has perfected the art of following Ben around marathon courses. She takes photos and video while providing food, drink, and encouragement at key points in the race. Her skills will come in handy to keep Team RunningHungry moving forward at the Fall 50.

Andrew Isaacson

Race Support

A Minnesota resident, Andrew is Ben’s older brother and an all-around great guy.  He filmed Ben at the Twin Cities Marathon in October 2007.  He’s also posted to Ben’s Running Blog during races to give extended family and friends up-to-the-minute tracking.  His presence in Door County will dramatically increase the fun factor.

Pat and Tom Isaacson

Race Support

Ben’s parents are experts in runner assistance. Their top-notch navigation skills have served them well at many past marathons, especially the Walt Disney World races in January 2007.  Pat was present in Nashville, TN for Ben’s personal record performance at the Country Music Marathon.  Tom, who has filmed Ben at races at least ten times, was recording at the finish line in Little Rock, AR when Ben first finished with a clock time under four hours.

David Hoskinson

Relay Team Captain

With experience running races in almost every continent, David is bold enough to lead the relay team at the Fall 50.  David and Ben ran together at the Air Force Marathon on September 19, 2009.  With temperatures rising and fatigue setting in, they stayed together and persevered to a strong finish.

Scott Latusek

Relay Team Member

“I moved to Green Bay about 4 years ago; straight out of college.  At one point in my life I was a good runner, but college track and cross country beat me up a little so I’m quite a bit more relaxed in my training these days.  I’m an assistant coach for St. Norbert college indoor and outdoor track and field team and an occasional runner with the Green Bay Running Club.  And that’s about it as far as running goes.  I’m an engineer by profession; which you might have been able to figure out by my overly analytical approach for preparing our team for this race and my poor grammar skills :)”

Note from Ben: I am thankful for Scott’s efforts to prepare the team, and also for his experience, having run on a Fall 50 relay team three times before.  And he’s still a good runner.  He’s planning to cover his legs of the relay at a 7:00/mile pace, which I think is quite impressive!

Anna Stape

Relay Team Member

Anna is making the trip up from Racine to be a part of the team.  Though she’s never run on a relay before, her running experience has prepared her for this challenge.

Michelle LaHaie

Relay Team Member

Born and raised in Sturgeon Bay (where the race finishes), Michelle recently completed the Fox Cities Half Marathon in an incredible 1:41:13, taking 3rd place in her division.  Her speed and pursuit of excellence in running are a great benefit to the team!

Maria LeCloux

Relay Team Member

When one of the original members could not make it, Maria stepped in on short notice.  It was great to have her on the team!
